MATH161 HM - Introduction to Environmental and Spatial Statistics Credit(s): 3
Staff. Extension of the classical linear model to observations correlated in space (and time) with applications to real-life data. The course covers fundamentals of spatial random processes, geostatistics and spatial interpolation (Kriging), introduction to spatio-temporal processes and hierarchical modeling. Statistical software will be used as a tool to implement many of the techniques.
