HSA197 HM - Independent Study Courses

Staff. Students may arrange for independent study with individual faculty members in the humanities, social sciences and the arts, subject to their permission, in order to pursue particular interests that are not covered by regular courses. Independent study courses, designated with the number 197, may be taken in any discipline within the humanities, social sciences, and the arts. The College limits such courses to juniors and seniors. See the discussion of “Directed Reading Courses” in the “Academic Regulations” section of this catalogue for other restrictions.
