ENGR182 HM - Manufacturing Planning and Execution Credit(s): 3
Gokli. This course provides a fundamental understanding of manufacturing and focuses on “practical” elements of how factories are laid out, how they are optimized and how they are managed and measured. It introduces students to the vocabulary, processes and tools of manufacturing with hands-on experience. This course is designed to have one class of lectures followed by a class of hands-on exercises to effectively internalize the knowledge. The course teaches three main learning modules: shop floor management, quality management and supply chain management. (Spring)
