ENGR186 HM - Advanced Human-Centered Design Credit(s): 3
Instructor(s): Leichter
Offered: Spring
Description: This is a course designed for students who have taken Human-Centered Design (Engineering 180) and ask, “what’s next?” In this project-based practicum, student teams will tackle one real-world design challenge with an external partner for the duration of the semester. The final deliverable will be a design ‘solution’ – product, service or system – that’s been tested in the market and balances an understanding of user desirability, technical feasibility and sustainable viability. At the end of the semester you’ll ‘demo’ your design solutions through an interactive presentation, supported by thorough documentation of research, process, and insights.
Prerequisite(s): ENGR180 HM
