CLES121 HM - Climate Justice: Disability Lens

Description: This course is an exploration of the impacts of climate change on disabled populations. It will encourage students to consider the future of technology and disability, and how we can use current computer science accessibility strategies to shape climate-related interventions. Students will also learn how to use speculative design-type methodologies to propose requirements for future climate-related interventions. Key take-aways will be: an understanding of the current state of technology and disability, the effects of climate change on one specific population, and articulating accessible climate futures through technology specifications.
